Title: No Explanations Part 2 EP
Label: Sony Music/Ultra Records
Release date: 24 February 2017
Late last year, Helena Legend showed the world the extent of her talents on Part 1 of her newest EP, “No Explanations.” The Aussie triple threat demonstrated her personal and musical maturity through the EP‘s futuristic melodies, rhythmic basslines and sultry vocals; now she brings us Part 2 of “No Explanations,” featuring three sassy, fiery tracks. On “Ghost Ya,” a collaboration with Sophie Hintz, Helena lays down the law on a clingy man, then heads out on the town for the feminine party tune “One Night” featuring Sade Serena. Legend rounds out the package with “No No No,” the EP‘s most powerful track, complete with brassy bass and old-school Dawn Pennsampling that makes for an absolute club weapon. Part 2 of “No Explanations” only serves to reinforce Helena Legend‘s message—she has stepped outside of her musical comfort zone into an empowered maturity that will carry her further and wider than she has ever gone before.
The electronic dance music scene first heard of Helena when her debut single “Girl from the Sky” shot to the top of the Australian club charts, remaining at the Number 1 spot for four straight weeks, and consequentially making Helena a seemingly overnight star. However, Legend‘s involvement with music started at an early age, when she was trained on the cello and piano; her music career to date is simply a culmination of her talent and hard work. She has had multiple successful tracks since her debut, such as “Raven” and “Legend,” and released on some of the world’s most renowned record labels, such as Ultra, Spinnin, and Musical Freedom. Her electrifying live sets have earned her a loyal following of “Helena‘s Legends,” and this following has led to her traveling across the globe to perform. Helena has already set the bar high, and she continues to impress with every wave of new music. Press play on “No Explanations” to discover the latest version of the ever-evolving Helena Legend.
